VMMC Officer Supervisor at Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC)

The VMMC Project Officer is a full-time position based in Kigezi region. S/he will be assigned to any of the six USAID LPHS Kigezi supported districts to plan for and implement VMMC services in accordance with established MoH / PEPFAR standards and project guidelines and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the development and implementation of biweekly, monthly and quarterly district VMMC work plans to meet program targets and performance deliverables.
• Support district teams optimize pre-camp meetings for effective mobilization for VMMC activities through proven mobilization strategies.
• Ensure effective monitoring, document and prompt reporting of adverse events.
• Contribute to and actively provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual VMMC activity reports.
• Ensure quality and timely VMMC data submission into the various platforms, including but not limited to weekly surge data, monthly and quarterly HMIS reports, and CQI dashboards.
• Participate in data quality audits for VMMC and institutionalize development of VMMC specific QI projects by district/site teams
• Document key lessons in program implementation including but not limited to (success stories, case studies, photos and technical briefs.
• Coordinate district/site level VMMC capacity building and performance review meetings
• Provide logistical and administrative support for VMMC field activities, including transport requests, facilitating payments and any other administrative issues at the VMMC meetings.
• Compile and submit timely and accurate accountability for project funds.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant must Hold a Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing or its equivalent from a reputable organization.
• At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience working experience with PEPFAR programs in supporting district led implementation of VMMC services.
• Excellent knowledge and experience with Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other data processing and graphical presentation software.
• Ability to independently plan and execute complex tasks while addressing daily management details and remaining organized and focused on long-term deadlines and strategy highly desirable.
• Excellent inter-personal communication skills and excellent organization skills.
• Additional training in VMMC service provision as Circumciser from the MoH approved training institutions
