General Manager at Oilfield Movers Ltd

General Responsibilities
• Act as the face of the company, managing potential reputational risks effectively
• Engage with various stakeholders to maintain a positive Company brand perception
• Acts as the project manager for assigned projects
• Ensure total alignment of the Organization’s key performance goals with departmental and individual goals.
• In charge of the Company’s business growth objectives implementation
• Builds strong and effective relationships with the internal teams enabling a high-performance environment.
• Works as needed with cross-functional teams such as HSE, HR, Procurement, and Finance
• Develops and maintains strong and trusting client relationships at all levels with both active accounts and prospects.
• Liaise with relevant Departments to ensure that facilities, machinery, tooling, and equipment are maintained in an efficient operating condition. – assuring mission readiness of the resources provided by the company.
• Champion Company Health, Safety, and Environment soundness to promote a safety culture throughout the Company.
• Responsible for coordinating activities and keeping management informed on all aspects of the Company’s project planning and implementation including providing necessary reporting and documentation.
• Ensure that departments deliver peace of mind to internal and external clients.
• Ensure set Revenue targets are achieved by managing self and other employees’ performance.
• Build a strong Company image by Ensuring quality and efficient delivery of services, the highest compliance with all regulatory, industry, contractual, accreditation, and statutory requirements.
• Foster continual Improvement in the internal quality management processes for higher productivity.
• Supports and maintains service quality standards, policies, practices, and work instructions.
• Champion and lead on focus for processes speed and quality delivery (operational excellence) through reduction of wastes .

Act as the Chief Country Company planner ensuring SMARTER Key Performance Indicators are set and reviewed regularly to suit.

Implement strategies to manage stakeholder conflicts

Qualifications
• Minimum master’s in Business Management, Logistics / Supply Chain or related qualification from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a logistics or operations function at the managerial level.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of logistical operations.
• Working in a company that provides the whole Logistical chain, with a mix of movement of sensitive materials and equipment as well as lifting solutions
• Must be a Ugandan Citizen

Experience

• 5 years of management experience in Transport and Logistics Management
• Must have multi-site management experience
• Experience in strategic planning

Skills

● Possess good interpersonal skills.
● Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
● Effective negotiating skills
● Effective decision-making and analytical skills
● Proficiency in Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint) Cross-cultural working ability
● Ability to interact with government agencies, corporate bodies, and company personnel at all levels.
● Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
● Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
● Versatile in decision-making and adaptation to various business dynamics and requirements.
