The National Animal Genetic Resources Centre and Data Bank (NAGRC&DB) is a semi-autonomous agency under the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries mandated to take a leading role in establishing a comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda. The agency wishes to recruit the following;

Job Title: Regional Office Administrator
No. of Vacancy: 11
Starting date: Immediately
Duration of commitment: 1 Year Renewable Contract
Location: Various Regional Offices: Arua, Gulu, Moyo, Moroto, Iganga, Mbale, Soroti, Hoima, Kabale, Mbarara, and Tororo
Reporting To: National Coordinator- Community Breeding Program
Overall Job Purpose:
To provide administrative and secretarial services to the organizational regional office
Age Limit: 25-55 Years

Specific Responsibilities
• Draw up and monitor appointments and programmes in conjunction with relevant officers
• Maintain organizational records and assist their movements and develop control processes for efficient records management
• Coordinate inland travel arrangements for staff in the region iv. Prepare and raise requisitions and following up on payments and supplies
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of accountabilities vi. Organize meetings, functions and workshops
• In charge of customer relations, receiving and attending to visitors/clients internal and external
• Requisition for and management of office consumables and sundries
• Draft letters of routine nature and types official letters/ documents
• Receive incoming mail, callers or telephone and supervises outgoing mail
• Ensure general cleanliness and orderliness of the premises and supervise support staff in the office if any

Basic Requirements
• Should have a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Social Sciences, Social work and Social Administration, Secretarial studies, Business Administration/ Business studies (Management option), Management Sciences or Information or Office Management from a recognized University/Institution
• Working experience of at least two (02) years in Office Administration and Management gained from Government or a reputable organization/institution
