Grants & Fundraising Officer at Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services for people with disability in Uganda

Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services for people with disability in Uganda (CORSU) was established in 2006 as a private non-profit, non-governmental organization and is supported by CBM (Christian Blind Mission).
CORSU provides Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Rehabilitation, mainly for children as well as adults with disability
CORSU seeks to employ professionally suitable and dynamic individuals to fill the following positions:

Position: Grants & Fundraising Officer (1)
Department: Program Management Office
Reports to: Program Management Office (PMO) Team Leader

• Overall Job Purpose:
To manage designated grants, design and implement fundraising initiatives, establish additional sources of funding and prepare attractive funding proposals and applications.
• Detailed Roles and responsibilities (refer to the JD on CORSU website) . Academic/Professional qualifications, work experience, knowledge & skills
• University degree preferably in Fundraising, Grants Proposal Writing, Project Management or any other relevant field
• Project planning and management qualification
• Multilingual skills.
• 3 years’ experience in funding proposal writing and a proven track record of writing successful grants.
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office Excellent writing, communication, fundraising and presentation skills
• Excellent writing, communication, fundraising and presentation skills
• Experience working in the NGO/Not-for-Profit sector with proven track record of strategic planning, proposal writing and budgeting for institutional donors. (Experience with EU or USAID funding an advantage).
• Good understanding of disability
• Willingness to travel as required.
