Design Manager – D&C Project Team at CNOOC Uganda Limited

Location: Kampala, Uganda. Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites or other cities if required.

Primary function
• To be responsible for designing of the drilling, completion and workover program and the technology management of the department.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for the drilling, completion and workover program and budget preparation.
• Responsible for the preparation of the end of program report.
• Organize, make and review the drilling and completion-designing plan in oil field development plan.
• Responsible for the drilling and completion management in the preliminary study of oil field development, and review the ODP report.
• Provide the tendering plan and the end of program report.
• Organize, make and review the drilling and completion-designing plan in oil field development plan.
• Responsible for the drilling and completion management in the preliminary study of oil field development, and review the ODP report.
• Provide the tendering plan and strategy of the service and material procurement based on the engineering program.
• Provide the engineering assistance in cost control.
• Prepare technical bidding documents and evaluation criteria according to the requirements on the equipment and services of designing, and participate in tendering and bidding evaluation.
• Make the schedule and budget of drilling and completion design.
• Responsible for new technology introduction, analysis and application software of drilling and completion.
• Other duties assigned by leaders.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Petroleum engineering, drilling and completion or the related.
• At least 10-year related working experience in Oil and Gas industry. D&C work experience is required.

Knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of drilling and completion.
• Extensive knowledge of laws of oil E&P safety and environmental protection.
• Knowledge of cost control, economic contract and laws. Understanding of petroleum contract reservoir, geology and oil production.
