The position holder will support the Management of Mildmay Uganda in ensuring that effective security measures for the organization are both appropriately planned and addressed.
He/she will also lead in the optimization of organizational security and the mitigation of operational risks by establishing security systems and mechanisms for institutionalizing an organizational culture and practice of safety and security.
Qualifications
• Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a certificate in Security Training.
• He or she must also have evidence of Management skills training as well as demonstrable knowledge in common criminal laws.
• The Successful candidate should have 4 years’ experience heading the security function of a busy organization.
Additional competences for this position include;
• Computer skills; Investigative skills; Firefighting skills; basic training and presentation skills; Analytical and good judgment
• Applicants must have a Non-judgmental approach to human relations; be in sympathy with Mildmay Uganda’s Christian values; possess good communication and interpersonal skills; and must be able to maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues. Customer focus is paramount.
