Job Purpose:

Accountable for acquiring, managing and sustaining a portfolio of schemes, of companies and institutions, that have signed up for scheme banking and personal financing solutions for their employees, managing consistency, risk, quality of operational service and turnaround time. Responsible for ensuring that the Bank realizes value from portfolio of schemes by increasing market share, increasing product holding by employees in the respective schemes and maximizing schemes penetration.

Key Result Areas

1. Act as a contact for the Schemes and undertake appropriate promotional, loyalty and public relations activities in the schemes. This includes coordinating communication to the schemes on service standards, pricing, relationship team contact points and any product changes

2. Work with the personal banking team & Branch Managers including Relationship managers and Sales Coordination to drive delivery of targets through the Schemes value proposition.

3. Work closely with the credit operations team to ensure timely invoicing and repayment of loans taken as well as Identify and follow up with Branches on any non-repayment cases in the schemes portfolio

4. Ensure excellent business relationships are in place with all internal and external stakeholders, so as to achieve optimum value

5. Manage the respective Schemes’ customer complaints and resolution with the Branches

6. Research, review and recommend product or process changes for personal credit in line with customer needs and market changes

7. Monitor and ensure adherence to risk service standards

8. Identify and implement opportunities for cross selling different products to employees in respective schemes

9. Monitor loans in the scheme and Non scheme portfolio and ensure that they are performing in line with set targets and approved terms and conditions

10. Prepare scheme / non scheme performance reports to all stake holders for review in accordance to set targets detailing the performance progress.

11. Handle customer queries and complaints and resolve them in a timely manner and escalate any unresolved queries in the shortest time possible

12. Support all personal loan applications and company vetting documentation from branches that may require approval for reasons within acceptable risk margins.

13. Actively participate in the training and coaching programme of the Bank for sales officers and make reports in line with the performance management frame work.
14. Any other duty as maybe assigned by the bank

Financial Responsibility

• Accountable for the work place banking business & financial targets as will be agreed using different parameters esp. on customer numbers, Liabilities, Assets and revenue growth.

• Responsible for controlling work place banking costs to within agreed budget.
Person specifications
Education & Training
1. A Business degree in finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, management or any relevant field.
2. Possession of a Certified banking qualification or master’s degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage.
3. Relevant Practical training in personal banking product management.
Skills & Experience
1. Excellent understanding of the Bank, its strategy and all of its Banking services
1. Solid and proven credit skills with relevant business experience and acumen.
2. Must have critical thinking, analytical attention to detail and problem solving skills.

7. Team player, ability to work under pressure and in position to exercise excellent judgment.
