Manager ICT Infrastructure at Pride Microfinance Limited

Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI) (Pride) is the leading Microfinance Deposit Taking Institution in Uganda with 34 networked branches and 10 contact offices countrywide, an equal opportunity employer and regulated by Bank of Uganda under the MDI Act, 2003. Pride is now looking for a dynamic energetic individual to fill the position of Manager ICT Infrastructure. The Manager ICT Infrastructure will be based at Head Office and will report directly to the Head of ICT. He/she will be responsible for the System Administrator, Network Administrators, Infrastructure Officers and Service Desk Officer. He/she will be required to plan, develop and implement IT Infrastructural solutions that deliver corporate and service specific objectives that meet the strategic priorities of the Organization. .

Specific Responsibilities:
• Providing infrastructural support for efficient functioning of Pride ICT systems.
• Implementing priorities for the design, maintenance, development and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, Intranet, Security, wireless implementation.
• Ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery for business systems by maintaining a secure BCP/DR site.
• Preparing proper documentation for infrastructure projects and negotiating with vendors, outsourcers and contractors.
• Leading and managing the performance and development of all subordinate staff.

Person Specifications:
• Should be a good communicator with good analytical, administration, multi-tasking, reporting and interpersonal skills.
• Should be mature, intelligent, diligent, with strong work ethics, integrity and able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Should possess a strong personality of impact and influence that pulls colleagues together to build a strong team.
• Should be an outstanding leader and change agent with the business acumen and the ability to foster a productive working environment.
• He/she should not be more than 40 years of age.

Minimum academic qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Good grades in Mathematics at A’ level (Either A, B or C).
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCTP) and Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA).
• Should have a minimum of four (4) year’s working experience in a related field in a busy ICT environment, preferably a banking industry.
• 2 principle passes at A Level.
• Credit passes in English and Mathematics at O’ Level.
• Having an ITIL V3 Foundation Level will be an added advantage.
