Business Systems Support Officer at Pride Microfinance Limited

Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI) (Pride) is the leading Microfinance Deposit Taking Institution in Uganda with 34 networked branches and 10 contact offices countrywide, an equal opportunity employer and regulated by Bank of Uganda under the MDI Act, 2003. Pride is now looking for a dynamic energetic individual to fill the position of Business Systems Support Officer. The Business systems Support Officer will be based at Head Office and will report directly to the Business Systems Manager. He/she will be responsible for providing business support through meeting ICT service level agreements to ensure smooth operations. .

Specific Responsibilities:
• To provide technical support to improve the usage of business applications.
• Maintain business applications continuity policies and standards.
• Assist in implementation of business systems application.
• Support procedure and practice within the team to ensure that systems can be restored in a business recovery situation.
• Enforce software licensing controls for all software used within the company to ensure that the company is not exposed to litigation through software piracy.

Person Specifications:
• Should be a good communicator with good analytical, administration, multi-tasking, reporting and interpersonal skills.
• Should be mature, intelligent, diligent, with strong work ethics, integrity and able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Should possess a strong personality of impact and influence that pulls colleagues together to build a strong team.
• Should be an outstanding leader and change agent with the business acumen and the ability to foster a productive working environment.
• He/she should not be more than 32years of age.
Minimum academic qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Should have a minimum of two (2) year’s working experience in a similar position.
• Should have 2 principle passes at A’ Level.
• Should have Credit passes in English and Mathematics at O’ Level.
