Entomologists, Sericulture x2 at Public Service Commission

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Entomologist, Sericulture for performing the following duties:-
• Creating awareness of Sericulture programmes at all levels;
• Providing technical assistance in mulberry plantation/cultivation and silkworm rearing for cocoon production;
• Ensuring capacity building in Sericulture for extension agents and other stakeholders;
• Conducting surveys for pests and diseases in Sericulture and implementing control measures;
• Participating in quality assurance and auditing of Sericulture enterprises;
• Monitoring adherence to standards and regulations on Sericulture development;
• Conducting research and Sericulture technology development;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualification
• Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology and Botany with an option in Entomology from a recognized University/ Institution
