Position: Credit Analyst/Recovery Officer
Responsible To: Operations Manager
Contract Duration: 1 Years Fixed Contract renewable upon agreement.
Employment Location: OYA MICROCREDIT HEAD OFFICE, Muyenga, Monrovia.
We are seeking to hire Credit Analysts and Recovery Officers who will manage a portfolio of clients and report to the Head of Operations. Responsibilities will include evaluating the financial status of potential customers, monitoring existing clients, performing risk assessments, writing detailed reports, and making informed decisions while extending credit, sales and marketing and debt recovery.
These jobs require personalities who are can consistently operate effectively in the field. Experience with field work is a plus.
To excel in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field. You should demonstrate sound judgment, strong analytical skills and strong ability to operate and thrive in the field. .

Responsibilities:
• Review credit applications and perform credit and risk assessments
• Ability to make informed decisions backed by sound assessment
• Ability to handle multiple applications and assessments concurrently
• Understanding of business, economic, and industry risk
• Financial forecasting
• Keep abreast of financial news and trends in the country
• Practice due diligence
• Recover debt from borrowers in the field

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
• Passion for field work
• Capacity and stamina for continuous days of long hours of both general management and field work
• Resilient and remains calm and deliberate under conditions of stress
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ethical behavior
