Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Ministry Pilot to serve with our Mission Aviation Services team in Entebbe, Uganda. In East and Central Africa, where roads are often poor or non-existent, aviation is frequently the safest and most effective way to reach critical locations. As a fixed-wing Ministry Pilot, you will provide safe, reliable air transportation in support of Samaritans Purse programs across East Africa. A day in the life of a Ministry Pilot:

Responsibilities or duties
In the role of Ministry Pilot, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
- Perform pilot duties, including filing flight plans, obtaining weather data and interpreting the information for flights, completing aircraft weight and balances for flights, and loading/unloading passenger luggage and cargo.
- Maintain all aircraft charts and keep software updated.
- Ensure aircraft is clean, neat, and polished when both at and away from base, including sanitizing the aircraft restroom facilities after each flight.
- Assist in the maintenance, repair and cleaning of the hangar and the property.
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks to ensure safety.
- Work with FAA as assigned.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two (2) to four (4) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 1,200 hours of flight time required
First Class Medical required.
FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate Airplane Single/Multi Engine Land with Instrument Rating required.
FAA A&P Certification preferred, but not required.
12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
