Graduate Trainee (Different Fields) at Yalelo Uganda

Job Title: Graduate Trainee

Reports to: Departmental Supervisor/Team Lead

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified and interested candidates who wish to join the Yalelo Uganda SMC Limited’s Graduate Trainee Programme for a period of 12 months. The candidates should possess a Bachelors degree, but preference shall be given to those with a Bachelors degree in the following fields:

1. Fisheries and Aquaculture,

2. Fisheries and Water Resources,

3. Information Technology/Computer Science,

4. Transport and Logistics Management,

5. Environmental Management,

6. Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

The Graduate Trainee Programme

Successful candidates will join the Graduate Development Programme under the supervision of a Departmental Team Lead or Supervisor and will be attached to various departments according to their field of study.

The programme is designed to: (i) enable the trainees to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice, (ii) provide trainees with industry experience and practical knowledge of working in a world-class aquaculture facility at Yalelo and (iii) equip them with working experience for their future professional careers.

Requirements and Qualifications

1.Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized academic institution in one of the specified fields listed above.

2. Must be a graduate of 2023, 2024, and 2025 only.

3. Computer literacy.

4. Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

5. Good oral written communication skills

6. Good interpersonal skills.
