The position holder will be responsible for proposal development and grants management to ensure effective sourcing and acquisition of restricted income to sustain the MIHS Interventions. S/he takes overall responsibility for managing grant proposals development, as well as working as part of proposal teams as maybe required from time to time. The Grants Officer is also directly responsible for managing relationships with assigned specific donors and partners. S/he supports the development of grant writing capacity across MIHS business units.
Qualifications
1. A Bachelors Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Social Sciences, International Development or any other related filed, Post graduate training in any of the above fields will be added advantage.
2. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in program management, grants business development, Resource Mobilization, and Grants Management in an Non-Profit setting. Hands-on experience in design, management and evaluation of development programs and establishing partner relationships.
3. All applicants must have a Non-judgmental approach to human relations; be in sympathy with MIHS’s Christian values; possess good communication and interpersonal skills; and must be able to maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues. Customer focus is paramount.
