Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for risk management, managing staff, and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
• Understanding what the client or company wants to achieve.
• Managing the project budget.
• and the construction timetable for the client and develops the construction strategy
• Coordinating and collaborating with the project engineers, Client, and any specialists.
Ensuring the project complies with all expected standards and any other legal or regulatory requirements.
• Provides practical solutions to resolving problems occurring on production of works.
• Agreeing timescales, costs and resources needed to deliver a project.
• Drawing up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of a project.
• Selecting and leading a project team.
• Negotiating with contractors and suppliers
• Directing a multi-disciplinary team
• Overseeing several projects at the same time
• Ensuring that each stage of the project happens on time, on budget and to a high standard
• Reporting regularly on progress to the client and stakeholders
Managing several projects simultaneously with the support of junior project managers
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• Degree in Civil Engineering and similar related fields.
• CAPM and/or PMP certifications will be an added advantage.
• 20 years of proven work experience in international construction engineering operations of which 10 years must have been at a senior project managerial level.
Demonstrated expertise in project / program management.
• Proven ability to manage and foster relationships with contractors and vendors
• Advance knowledge in engineering software of MS Project, SAP, AutoCAD and Project Management.
• Strong knowledge of all areas of construction
