Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Program Director (PD), the L&R Specialist will be part of the program delivery team responsible for Contextualizing and aligning the Livelihoods and Resilience technical program to the required FH and MAAIF standards. He/She will also undertake resource development, program design. representation, project/program management, monitoring, and training the staff for the appropriate implementation of the sectoral strategies and modules. The Livelihoods and resilience Specialist will identify specific growth opportunities for resilient programs and support the realization of the FHU strategic priorities in livelihoods and resilience through networking and donor cultivation. Integration of resilience in key sectors and cross-cutting thematic areas, such as agricultural systems, rural livelihoods, and economic recovery for refugees including digital Cash Transfer interventions; nutrition and food security; natural resource management and climate change adaptation; youth and adolescent economic programing, peace building; and gender and social inclusion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Principal Responsibilities Key Result #1: Livelihoods and Resilience strategy development (20%) Key Result #2: Strategic partnerships development for business acquisition and growth (20%) Key Result #3: Program Quality and impact (25%)
• Key Result #4: Networking and External Engagement with technical working groups, donors, potential partners (20%)
• Key Result #5: Capacity Building and staff development (15%)
Job Level Specifications & Experience
• Typically, 8+years of experience in technical program design, business
• development, project management and resilience programing. Non-profit ministry experience is a plus. Program leadership experience that includes risk and compliance management, financial, and opportunity development
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and
• experience in agricultural sciences, agri-business development, animal and livestock development, environment, natural resource management
• and energy, rural development, business administration and economics
• Master’s degree in agri-business development, agricultural sciences
• project management, environment, energy and resilience is preferred.
