Position: Data Officer
Category: Full – time Employee
Department: Operation
Reports to: Branch Coordinator
Location: Palabek- Lamwo, Uganda

Job Summary
The Data Officer is responsible for all data capturing and IT related work for the branch.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Along with the Senior Field Officer, ensure all Field Officers and Village Volunteers complete and submit all data forms on time – group formation forms, MIS Surveys, Social Evaluation Surveys, Village Volunteers Payment forms, and any other data form as requested by Branch Officer or Head Office
• Review all forms and surveys for accuracy and completeness
• Enter data from the various forms and surveys into Salesforce, or other systems’as needed
• Produce Salesforce reports as requested by Branch Officer or Head Office
• File and properly secure all the various forms, survey reports, and the finance documents.
• Train, guide, coach, mentor and induct the rest of the staff on the use of sales force and any other IT related issues
• Cleans any error on Salesforce and ensure timely entry of accurate data
• Ensure information on SFL calendar tracker is always up to date
• Monthly checks all Computer systems in the branches to ensure they are in good conditions
• Provides weekly report to the Branch management team on progress of data collection and entry to ensure timely detection and correction of errors
• Retrieving and disseminating Salesforce report for decision making and accountability to management and stakeholders
• Any other duty in line with his/her position as may be requested by the Branch Coordinator or Head Office

Person’s Specification
• Personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate commitment to Seed Effect’s mission to serve as a holistic tool to live out the Great Commission alongside the Great Commandment as we empower the poor to know and follow Christ, plug into the local church, and overcome physical poverty.
• Must hold bachelors in relevant field or equivalent through experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge
• 2 years’ experience in working with Savings groups, microfinance, or banking strongly preferred.
• Skilled leader, with excellent understanding of cross-cultural communications, workplace relationships, church relations, and the ability to relate to and effectively motivate staff.
• Fluent in English and excellent written, verbal and computer-based communication skills.
• Assertive self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team.
• The ability to mentor staff and model successful management techniques and approaches.
• Ability to demonstrate servant leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, and a can-do attitude.
• Passionate about the work of Seed Effect.
• Must be a Ugandan with perfect knowledge of Ugandan laws and socio-cultural related issues in the work area.
