To develop, implement and oversee Baylor – Uganda’s capacity building programme activities in line with the organization’s objectives and MoH’s guidelines.
Overall Responsibilities
1 Periodically track the joint identifying of facility needs or gaps based on periodic analysis of in regard to ‘facility site assessment’ and
‘Supportive Supervision and Monitoring’ reports then consolidate the needs analysis report and disseminate the approved report to the key stakeholders in line with acceptable standards of needs analysis
- Develop and monitor the implementation of a procedure for recruitment, induction, training and performance review of mentors in line with MoH guidelines for mentorship
- Develop comprehensive annual and quarterly training and mentorship
PMP /scorecard/plan and ensure that mentorship schedules are shared with facilities and periodically tracked by the District mentorship committees and relevant regional staff in line with MoH and Baylor‐Uganda guidelines for mentorship
- Periodically monitor the joint developing of consolidated regional
health facility based training plans by Baylor‐Uganda head office and regional teams then develop and disseminate a consolidated approved regional training program to Baylor‐Uganda’s key stakeholders in line with the needs analysis report and MoH guidelines for mentorship
- Develop a system for conducting periodic evaluation of training and mentorship programs to establish the impact of trainings and mentorships on Health facility’s Performance, articulating appropriate
‘training/mentorship process improvement’ recommendations and justifying return on investment in line with MoH and Baylor‐Uganda objectives for health facility trainings.
- Develop and monitor the implementation of a procedure for Baylor‐
Uganda internship and Clinical Attachments including identifying,
inducting and exit of students on clinical attachment and internship programmes, tracking provision of performance feedback to students by supervisors, and evaluation of clinical attachment and internship programme in line with Baylor‐Uganda’s internship policy.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships, networks and linkages with key stakeholders to enhance coordinated and harmonized training and mentorship programs in Baylor –Uganda capacity development programs objectives.
- Prepare and submit a draft work plan, procurement plans and Budget for training & mentorship program activities to the supervisor and implement the approved plans and budgets in line with Baylor‐Uganda financial and procurement guidelines.
- Compile and submit periodic and interim reports and timesheets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis in accordance with organization standards and requirements.
- 10. Participate and/or prepare capacity building fundable proposals and conduct operational research while disseminating abstracts and topical annual report articles based on documented capacity building related lessons and best practices as aligned to Baylor‐Uganda mandate.
Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Community Health · Post-basic training in Public Health or any other relevant post-basic training; Innovative, flexible, negotiation and self‐drive attributes among others.
- · Key personal competences in teamwork and communication skills;
- · Basic training in Clinical Medicine & Community Health with at least 3 years’ experience coordinating/delivering health professionals’ capacity development programs (training and mentorship);
- 3 Years Relevant Experience
