Sheema SACCOs Union is a secondary cooperative society that provides a range of cooperative development services to its member SACCOs namely; Bugongi SACCO, Kitagata Financial Services, and Shuuku SACCO. The Union is recruiting as follows:
Position: Internal Auditor (3 positions)
Job Summary: Responsible to the Board, the internal auditor will be responsible for the overall internal audit programmes of the organization, including but not limited to evaluating the reliability of the information produced by accounting systems, providing an independent appraisal function; evaluating compliance with laws, policies, and operating procedures; providing investigative services to the Board; certifying returns submitted to the regulators by the organisation; evaluating compliance with internal control procedures by management and staff of the organisation; evaluating the suitability and effectiveness of the organisation’s management information systems; coordinating external audits, and performing an audit of the financial statements of the organisation to detect irregularities and illegal acts in the conduct of its business.
