Child Development Officers, Sponsor Donor Relations (CDQ, SOA) x2 at Diocese of Lango

Diocese of Lango in partnership with compassion international ministers to over 2000 orphans and vuinerable children through seven child development centers. The Diocese intends to add staff in the departments of sponsor donor relations (SDR) and Home Based Programming (HBP); the Diocese now intends to recruit staff in those positions.

Position: Child Development Officer, Sponsor Donor Relations (CDQ, SOA)
Number of Vacancies: 02 positions
Knowledge, skills & key responsibilities.
1. Should have at least a bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: – social science, social works, child development and children ministry, development studies and other related fields.
2. Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a strong Christian witness who demonstrates a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Church, and also faithfully upholds child ministry in prayer,
3. Should be able self-driven, very passionate about children, serves as an advocate for children who live in poverty and are not able to speak out for themselves.
4. Must be Computer literate in MS Word, Excel and Power Point plus knowledge of Internet.
5. At least two years’ experience and knowledge in Early Childhood (ECD)
6. Should be a good steward, of high integrity, exhibiting confidentiality, with good social skills and can be trusted by persons who prefer a non-intrusive lifestyle.
7. Highly self-motivated to carry out Home-visits and group trainings that involve parents and their children in non-classroom settings.
8. Age: 22-35. 9.Should have a letter of recommendation from the parish priest.

Key Roles and responsibilities
Child Development officer – Home Based Programming (CDO- HBP).

Knowledge, skills & key responsibilities.
1. Must be a borr-again Christian who is a model in word, deed, lifestyle and demonstrates involvement in Church ministry.
2. Must have at least a Diploma in Nursing, Midwifery, Community Health, Nutrition, clinical medicine, Education and Social worki related disciplines.
3. Must be Computer literate in MS Word, Excel and Power Point plus knowledge of internet.
4. Should be a good steward, of high integrity, exhibiting confidentiality, with good social skills and can be trusted by persons who prefer a non-intrusive lifestyle.
5. Highly self-motivated to carry out Home-visits and group trainings that involve parents and their children in non-classroom settings.
6. Should have a developmental mindset and ability to design and implement homebased interventions that are contextualized.
7. Ability to design a stimulating environment for children using locally available resources/materials.
8. Experience and knowledge in Early Childhood (ECD), GOBIFFF components, maternal-child health intervention programs and social will be an added advantage.
9. Age: 22-35.
10. Should have a letter of recommendation from the parish priest.
