Senior Planning Officer at Dairy Development Authority (DDA)

Reporting to Principal Planning Officer, the successful candidate duty station shall be at the DDA head Office and shall be required to perform the following duties;
• Participate in preparation of DDA Annual Work Plans & Budgets and ensure adherence during implementation.
• Prepare DDA progress and annual reports.
• Participate in preparation of periodic reports and feedback.
• Participate in the monitoring and evaluating the performance of the dairy industry and assess its impact on economic development in Uganda and the region.
• Coordinate periodic performance assessments of dairy activities at all levels of the dairy value chain.
• Prepare policy statements, budget framework papers & be conversant with the GOU planning process.
• Provide guidance on conducting action research and program evaluation studies to establish the impact of DDA along the dairy value chain.
• Develop a framework for documentation and sharing of lesson learnt and experiences gained during implementation of dairy development projects.
• Liaise with NGOs, Government Institutions and other donor agencies in developing policy framework for collaboration.
• Prepare project concept papers and proposals aimed at improving the dairy sector.
• Assist in pooling dairy industry data, among others.
• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and experience
• Honours degree in Economics or Honours Degree in Statistics or any other relevant Honours degree from a recognized University.
• Post Graduate qualification in Project Planning and Management or Monitoring & Evaluation is a must.
• Masters degree in related field is an added advantage.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in Annual Work Planning & Budgeting in Government of Uganda system.
