Engineer CS Core Network Planning at MTN Uganda

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

• Facilitate performance monitoring of MTNs Core nodes, by producing and interpreting performance reports.
• Timeously recommend capacity upgrades and reallocations based on Traffic, technologies in the market, customer requirements and MTN Uganda’s business plans.
• Take on the role of Technical lead for CS Core projects participating in design, implementation, acceptance and handover.

Main Job Functions:

Qualifications

 

Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)

Education:

• BSc Electrical Engineering / BSc Telecommunications Engineering
• Additional qualification e.g. Masters/Postgraduate diploma etc are an added advantage

 

 

Experience:

• 1 years’ experience in a Telecommunications Network planning role

Competencies:

 Training  

• Proficiency in the use of Windows and productivity packages (MS Office) – Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Projects
• Individual should be innovative, results-oriented and able to work long hours under pressure
• Willing to learn and unlearn concepts in CS Core systems
