Westnile Television is an exciting, engaging, positive, developmental, progressive & entertainment TV channel for the urbanrural viewer niche with the vision to expand nationally is recruiting. The Vision of Westnile TV is “to be the most influential platform for educating and empowering the community to solve humanitarian issues in West Nile, Northern Region and Uganda as a whole world”. Westnile TV with the Motto “Lighting Up the Region” established in 2021, will operate on valuable portfolio of current affairs, balanced news, engaging talk shows, documentaries/features, infotainment and edutainment networks, adolescent & youth programs, organic and significant television production operations.
Westnile TV has the following positions located in Arua City, to be filled by suitable candidates immediately after passing interviews;
Position: Station Manager
Reporting to: Chief Executive Director
EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCES
• The ideal candidate must have a core understanding of and experience in the media industry, especially the television environment, and broadcasting will be an added advantage.
• Must be a Degree holder, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting and Mass Communications
• Should have strong and comprehensive analytical and effective execution abilities. Should be good at strategic thinking in order to develop business strategies that focus on short, medium and long term.
• Must be team work oriented, relationship building and have good communication, networking, motivation and coaching skills.
• Must have proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Packages
