Mechanical Technician Estate and Works at Makerere University e-HRMS

Job Purpose
Provide mechanical maintenance services on plant and equipment in a timely, professional and safe manner.

Key, Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain Mechanical, Plumbing and refrigeration Works;
• Collect data on all Civil maintenance works needed in Colleges/Schools, University Staff houses and halls of residences;
• Carry out planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance;
• Carry out faultfinding;
• Fabricate, Install and commission for project maintenance;
• Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Required Qualifications
Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institution

Experience
Minimum of three (3) years, relevant working experience, in a large organization.

Skills/Competences
• Communication, teamwork, output oriented and interpersonal skills;
• Computer literate.
• Attention to detail
