Job Description
- Develop the Company’s Operations Strategy
- Accountable for execution of tactical business plans (derived from BU Strategy) at operational level
- Develop appropriate strategies that will promote the company’s operations and ensure timely implementation
- Oversee the Underwriting, Claims, Product Development, Customer Service, Actuarial and Marketing functions
- Manages direct (Managers, Team Leaders and Specialists)and indirect (Clerical staff) reports.
- Develop a robust Reinsurance Program.
- Put in place standards for the company and interdepartmental service level agreements that will improve the company’s service ratings.
- Owns operational efficiency and quality including an operations balanced scorecard incorporating finance, people, process and customer dimensions of the business
- Ensure that the underwriting policies reflect the company’s strategic risk management framework
- Ensure the services to customers and procedures meet the expectations.
- Ensure the Marketing Strategy is update and follow through the implementation of the activities.
- Integrates decision making across all of these spectrums
- Contribute to projects impacting on business deliverables (Delivery of level three plans)
- Provides operational and best practice context for internal environment
