Kakira Sugar Limited is a leading sugar manufacturer in Uganda. KSL boasts of 2 (two) sugar estate, one in Kakira- Jinja and the other in Kayunga. We seek to recruit dynamic, experienced and competent candidates to fill various vacant positions in the company.

Job Title: Superintendent- Process
Job Ref:2020.09.74/FY-M-PR-08
Reporting to Process Manager .

Duties:
• Ensuring that process installation/equipment are correctly set, properly operated and maintained, regularly cleaned and thoroughly checked to avoid distortions, adulteration and contamination along the process flow line. of each process operation unit with the help of laboratory analytical checks and evaluation.
• Ensuring effective deployment and utilization of all human and material resources involved in factory processing activities.
• Checking on the attendance of the shift manpower establishment to ensure adequacy of manning levels.
• Scrutinizing shift handover reports to gasp the operational behavior of-the process flow and checking on the physical condition of the plant and stock levels.
• Continuously monitor all the process parameters to ensure that all operational units are operating effectively and efficiently.
• Promptly checking on equipment failures and contingency, breakdowns and ensuring immediate, communication and co
• ordination with personnel concerned to expedite rectification.
• ln liaison with other shift peers, monitoring and ensuring compliance with safety precautions and regulations for occupational safety, of persons and security or plant.

Qualifications:
Must be a holder of Degree in Chemistry or Process Technology plus a post graduate diploma in sugar production obtained from a recognized institution.

Experience:
Minimum of at least eight (8) years in processing management of a large modern sugar factory, three (3) years of which should have been at Shift Supervisor level.
