Job Description
- Manage end-to-end supplier selection process
- To develop excellent and effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and external providers Resolve supplier queries/problems and escalates where necessary
- Compiles management information reports
- Assess corporate procurement demands and identify appropriate supplier guided by the approved list of prequalified suppliers
- Identify areas of cost saving procurement procedures
- Participate in cross-functional project teams to meet specific business requirements
- Ensures material procured adheres to corporate branding governance
- Participate in cross-functional project teams to meet specific business needs
- Assess procurement risks and reporting them and facilitating mitigations measures i.e. fraud, over pricing, quality noncompliance.
- Continuously supporting the Uganda entities Finance Managers on all procurements.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practice with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and costing
- Draft an appropriate service level agreement to properly evaluate the performance of suppliers, and report on this on a regular basis.
- Work with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
- Responsible for order placement timing, supply / demand alignment, material replenishment and supplier performance
- Monitor, evaluate and improve supplier performance, according to an appropriate Service Level Agreement, on a continuous basis
- Develop sourcing strategies
- Cost saving budgeting and targeting
- Set and plan how to achieve supplier accreditation and service level management
