To efficiently and effectively attain its strategic objectives, Housing Finance Bank is seeking to hire qualified, versatile and self-driven individuals to fill vacant positions in its establishment as follows; .
Job Purpose:
The role holder will be in charge of planning and delivering administrative support to the workplace banking unit in line with the Bank’s policies and regulatory framework Developing and analysing personal banking credit proposals through effective credit appraisal and due diligence process in order to achieve quality portfolio growth.
Key Result Areas
1. Review, document and maintain a register of all Personal Loans in line with compliance, risk and regulatory requirements.
2. Review and follow up personal Loan facilities from inception to disbursement with respective stakeholders in line with Bank credit policies and procedures, sign to recommend for disbursement if documentation and analysis so as to fast track turnaround time for the loans.
3. Cross check if loans have been approved in e-work flow and LOS from the branch before forwarding files to disbursement.
4. Document review of files received from the different branches Identify errors, fix and capture the errors in a separate log for follow up.
5. Daily monitoring of the pending applications, escalating the pending applications, keeping track of the sales controllable errors per sales person, preparing the outstanding items report and sharing the report with the sales persons and personal banking team.
6. Ensure that offer letters, KFDs and other key documentation are properly filled and well signed by the customer before forwarding the files for disbursement.
7. Monitor the performance of the loan book to ensure quality portfolio.
8. Identify support areas to drive growth in the personal banking portfolio
9. Handle customer queries and complaints and resolve them in a timely manner and escalate any unresolved queries in in line with the Customer Service Charter.
10. Ensure KYC compliance for all files received.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Financial Responsibility
• Deliver on PAR & NPA ratios as per bank recommended thresholds.
• Responsible for controlling costs to within agreed budget
Person specifications
Education & Training
• Honours degree in banking Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, management or any relevant field.
• Relevant Practical training in banking product management
Skills & Experience
1. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Banking, of which two must be in a sales or credit related role.
2. Must have critical thinking, analytical attention to detail and problem solving skills.
3. Good understanding of personal banking processes and procedures.
4. Good understanding of portfolio management process and procedures.
5. Must have an in-depth understanding about banking product features, pricing, benefits, positioning design and promotions.
6. Highly organized and self-directed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

1. The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form in a professional manner is deemed essential.
2. Ability to build functioning working relationships across organizational and cultural boundaries.
