Public Relations Officer at Vermipro Limited

Vermipro Limited is Ugandan company Located in Luzira, Kampala registered and incorporated in production of organic agricultural inputs to address a number of challenges relating to agricultural productivity, production cost, produce marketability, consumer health and environmental conservation in a number of African countries including but not limited to Kenya, Sudan, Malawi. These inputs are produced from locally available raw material, production of which can be scaled to meet any level of demand. We are looking for a talented and well experienced Public Relations Officer to join our team in Uganda. Job Summary: The Public Relations Officer will mainly develop and implement the public relations policy and communication strategy and enhance the corporate image and credibility of Vermipro Limited and be the mouth piece of the company .

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies for the enhancement of the company’s corporate image both within and outside the country.
• Develop and implement a communications strategy for the company.
• Coordinate with company extension and marketing officers to ensure customer satisfaction
• Coordinate with stakeholders implementing Vermipro’s public relations programmes.
• Take lead in publicity in organizing local and international events where Vermipro’s participation is required.
• Develop and coordinate the implementation of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
• Prepare periodic reports in line with public and customer experience and relations.
• Undertake and/or oversee research to establish the image/perception towards the company
• To monitor and evaluate the customer experience with Vermipro products • Perform any other duty as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant should hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree/ diploma in social science, Public administration or agricultural extension from recognized University institution.
• Should have relevant working experience of at least 3 years in handling similar roles.
• Experience in Agricultural industry is an added advantage
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Public speaking
• Interpersonal skills
• Coordination skills
