Key responsibilities:
• Collect, inspect samples and measure parts of materials (preforms, film and caps) for dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparator, and other measuring devices
• Assist in review of QA/QC systems to ensure compliance to specifications.
• Document monitoring/inspection results by either manually recording the results in the logbook or on monitoring/inspection forms.
• Sample, label and store retained samples of PET materials, Preforms and Caps from each production run/batch
• Report out-of-tolerance conditions to Shift In-charge/Supervisor and Quality Manager and for corrective action
• Observe processing operations and material packaging to ensure internal specifications and material integrity requirements during handling and storage are being met
• Observe Occupational Safety and Health regulations at all times while performing assigned duties
• In liaison with the Raw/Packaging material QC, ensure all incoming materials (PET/Master batch) meet company internal specifications before use
• Assist team leader on conducting on line trials for preform, cap and shrink films.
• Liaise with the inventory controller in the packaging material store and QC in-charge to ensure all materials are stored under conducive conditions
• Conduct Carbon dioxide retention studies/tests and document results as required
• Entering the required data in shotscop for better analysis.
• Follow up on CAPA about NC raised during production
• Monitoring of online attendants for better quality of materials and to timely communicating and NC
• Carryout simple calibration and maintenance works on measuring equipment
• Assist in generation of new documents and review on existing ones to ensure effectiveness.
• Perform any other task as per management request..
Minimum Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Laboratory Sciences, Chemistry and Food Science and Technology, from a recognized university.
• At least 2-3 years hands-on in the Food Industry. Beverage manufacture a distinct advantage.
• Familiar with Carbonated Soft Drinks and/or water treatment plant.
• Training in Food Safety and Hygiene handling techniques
