Our client is searching for a Project Manager who will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion on time within budget and within scope. He/she oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of project. Plus preparing reports for upper management regarding status of project.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
- Track project costs in order to meet budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
Job Requirements
- Master or Bachelor in one of the following: Geomarketing, topography, civil engineering, telecommunication, business
- +5 years of experience in projects & team management
- Mastering of English, Swahili and local language.
- Mastering of Office Pack (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and IT tools: tablets, computers.
- Good sociological and geographical knowledge of Kampala
- Mastering technical constraints linked with telecom fixed networks and FTTH in particular is an advantage
