The Role:
Oxfam in Uganda is looking for a competent person to join our dynamic, innovative and committed team in the position of Finance/Logistics Assistant based in Kyangwali. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the day-to-day operations in the finance and logistics/Procurement functions at the field office to ensure proper utilization of organizational resources and timely financial reporting.
This position will require a range of skills and experience including a degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Commerce, Business Administration, at least 2 years’ experience in providing range of finance and logistical support services in an INGO, Demonstrable knowledge and experience of core financial management, including accounts payable, cash management, budget development, statutory requirements/ Local tax laws, understanding & knowledge of donor-funded programmes practices, policies & procedures, International accounting standards and. Ability to work accurately with attention to detail. Good interpersonal and teamwork, Computer literacy and High level of Integrity and commitment to Oxfam’s overall aims and policies.
