District Coordinator x4 at Agency for Cooperation in Research and Development-Uganda (ACORD-U)

The Agency for Cooperation in Research and Development-Uganda (ACORD-U), received grants from USAID, to implement two (2) programmes titled;
1) “Keeping Children Healthy and Safe (KCHS) Activity” in South Western Uganda (Sheema, Mitooma, Kazo, Kiruhura and Ibanda Districts).
2) “Integrated Children and Youth Development (ICYD) Activity” in Central and Western Uganda (Mityana, Gomba, Luwero, Kyenjojo and Kakumiro Districts)
The Agency for Cooperation in Research and Development-Uganda (ACORD-U) wishes to invite qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the following positions:
Positions for ICYD Project;
Position: District Coordinator (4 Positions)
Reports to: OVC Manager
Program/Project: USAID/ICYD
Location: Gomba, Mityana, Kakumiro, Kyenjojo and Luwero .

Job Responsibilities
• The District Project Officer will provide technical oversight, operational coordination and management including; planning, implementation, capacity enhancement, monitoring/evaluation and reporting and work with district and sub county OVC structures to coordinate OVC services.

Person Specifications:
• The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Community Development, Education or any other related field.
• A postgraduate training in project planning and management will be an added advantage.
• At least four years of recent experience in designing, implementing and managing OVC programs in HIV setting in a fast paced project. Familiar with OVC programming in Uganda.
