Procurement Assistant at Finnish Refugee Council

Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an International NGO promoting community development through adult education on literacy, language, business and livelihood related trainings among refugees and host community member since 1997 in Uganda as an operational partner to UNHCR and OPM. .

FRC in partnership with World Food Programme (WFP) is coordinating 12-month project to scale up Financial Literacy Training (FLT) in 11 refugee settlements: Adjumani, Impevi, Kiryandongo, Kyaka II, Kyangwali, Lobule, Nakivale, Oruchinga, Palorinya, Rhino Camp and Rwamwanja. The FLT training program aims to reach 141,010 refugee households receiving cash-based transfers (CBT) from WFP.
FRC is currently seeking for dynamic, qualified Ugandans to fill the following positions.

Reports To: Procurement and Logistic Officer
Main purpose:
The primary responsibility is to ensure proper coordination and timely planning and acquisition of supplies, services, and works for the FLT project to coordinate timely travel arrangement of both FLT Project staff and goods and manage project stores inventory..

Qualification:
Diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management, or in a relevant field.
At least 2 years’ experience in Procurement and Logistics Management in a growing organization
Experience in preparing procurement plans and following through standard procurement processes along with vendor contracts management.
