DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in a continuous nursing coverage on Wards/Units by receiving reports and effectively handing over to incoming shifts.
• To keep patients comfortable and ensure a healthy environment.
• Give out observations, keep records and ensure their safe custody.
• Participate in Doctors/Clinical Officers Ward rounds.
• Maintain personal contact with patients, take note of their complaints, make reports and ensure confidentiality.
• Receive patients, register admissions and discharges.
• Adhere to professional code of conduct.
• Ensure that septic procedures are adhered to in the preparation of sterile procedures.
• Conduct health education to patients and their attendants.
• Participate in primary health care activities.
• Do any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications)
• Must have Enrolled Nurse Certificate or comprehensive nursing.
• Must be registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
• Should have observation, judgment, counseling and communication skills.
• Should have patient, focused approach and pleasant personality.
