Sugar Corporation of Uganda Limited is part of Mehta Group of Companies and one of the leading producers of Lugazi Sugar in the Country. It’s located at 45kms on Kampala – Jinja Highway, just within the vicinity of Lugazi Municipal Council, Buikwe District. We are seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the following position
Position: Engineer Turbine

Qualification
• B.Sc. (Mechanical) / Higher Diploma – Mechanical
Relevant Experience
• 3 to 5 years
Experience
1. Working as a Steam Turbine Control Room Desk Operator/Engineer in 10 to 30 MW power plant
2. Understand existing control systems for steam turbines
3. Operation, preventive & predictive maintenance of Turbine, All auxiliaries & cooling tower
4. Responsible for smooth startup and shutdown of Turbine
5. Familiar with Cold, warm & Hot Start up procedures
6. Handle the emergencies like black out, Load throw-off and islanding conditions

Job Education: B.Sc. (Mechanical) / Higher Diploma – Mechanical
