Administration And Human Resources Officer at Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau

The position will manage day-to-day administrative, logistical and human resources operations in the office. .

Roles and responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day support for recruitment and retention of personnel, including administration of personnel policies, employment agreements, and record keeping.
• Support supervisors and managers in managing staff performance.
• Ensure all staff records are updated and filed appropriately
• Manage staff well-being including relationship with health insurance providers.
• Oversee maintenance of office equipment, including vehicles, buildings, and other assets.
• Organize schedules for project sites visits, establish activity budgets, and support logistics for organized project activities for UPMB programs/projects.
• Work collaboratively with headquarters and regional staff to assure proper regional office administration, operation and human resources reporting and compliance.
• Other relevant tasks as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Postgraduate degree in human resources management (HRM), business management and Administration (BMA) or relevant field with a minimum of five years of experience in operational support for large donor-funded international projects.
• A working knowledge and prior experience with USAID rules and regulations.
• Demonstrated expertise with human resources and operations management systems.
• Fluency in English in both oral and written communication.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel and Navision accounting system.
• Experience working with multi-cultural teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, counselling and coaching skills
• Ability to travel within the country
• Any other duty assigned by the supervisor
